Our history

El origen del restaurante can Formiga data del año 1963, cuando esta casa, construida en el año 1766 en calle de la Iglesia 104 de Pineda de Mar, fue comprada por Joaquim Formiga, Roser Moragas y sus hijos Mª Farnes y Ferran, siendo la vivienda familiar, y, en el año 1966 se dedicó, en parte, a la venta de vinos y licores a granel.

A partir del año 1984 Joan Viñolas y Mª Farnes sus hijos, Gemma, Marta y Albert, después de una considerable reforma, pasaron a regentar lo que hoy es el restaurante Can Formiga.

Durante tres décadas este local ha trabajado con las mejores carnes de montaña, por nuestra procedencia y las mejores viandas del Maresme siendo privilegiados por el Mar y la Montaña, siempre regados por los mejores vinos.

Sigue siendo el Restaurante la familia, Viñolas, Formiga, Jove.

Excellent variety of menus

Can Formiga has raw materials of first quality and proximity, with shades of mountain and smells of salt and sea. Our restaurant has Catalan cuisine and author flavored with good wines from the best wineries in our home and abroad.
